Diamond-ground concrete sealed with a UV-stable system, finished for grip rather than shine. Suits pool surrounds, alfresco areas, garden paths, driveways, balconies, shop fronts and council footpaths.
Outdoor grinding and sealing removes the top layer of concrete to expose the aggregate and leave a flatter, better-draining surface. Outdoors the aim is grip rather than shine, so the finish is honed and the sealer is UV-stable, which is what keeps it from yellowing under Queensland sun. It suits pool surrounds, alfresco and garden paths, balconies and patios, shop fronts and council footpaths, driveways and carports.
Ground and UV-sealed concrete for outdoor commercial, residential and retail spaces.
The top layer comes off with metal-bonded diamond abrasives, which exposes the aggregate and flattens the surface. Outdoor work runs two to three levels of refinement, not the full polishing sequence.
Taking the top layer off also improves water flow, which matters on the slightly sloped slabs most outdoor areas are poured on.
Cracks are chased and filled and edges made good before anything is sealed.
An enhancing sealer lifts the colour, a natural look sealer keeps it subtle, and a polyurethane gives the deeper wet look with a slip-resistant additive.
The sealer goes on in the right weather window, with the cure times and the cleaning method handed over on the day.

It depends on sun exposure and traffic. A re-seal is a lighter job than the first install because the grinding is already done.
The colour is the slab itself, and the sealer is clear and UV-stable, so long-term fade is minimal.
Yes, with a polyurethane sealer, and it takes a slip-resistant additive for pool surrounds and driveways.
