Start with where the floor is, how it will be used and the finish you want. The site inspection confirms the suitable system.
| Finish | Best for | Lifecycle | Typical install | Relative cost | Maintenance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mechanically polished concrete | Living areas, showrooms, shops, warehouses | Life of the slab, no re-coat | Programme confirmed at quote | $$$ | Occasional re-burnish, no re-coat |
| Epoxy floor system | Garages, workshops, commercial kitchens, wet areas | Long service life, then re-coat | Programme confirmed at quote | $$ | Re-coat at end of life |
| Grind and seal | Driveways, patios, offices, shop fit-outs | Periodic re-seal | Programme confirmed at quote | $ | Re-seal when the finish dulls |
| Microcement | Bathrooms, feature walls, benchtops, boutique retail | Periodic re-seal | Programme confirmed at quote | $$$ | Re-seal when the finish dulls |
Relative cost is a rough guide only. We quote every floor individually after looking at it, so request a quote with a photo and we can usually tell you a lot before we visit.
The same crew, machinery and standards across both.
It depends on where the floor is and what it has to put up with. As a rule: polished concrete for living areas and long-life commercial floors, grind and seal for driveways, patios and budget fit-outs, epoxy or flake for garages, workshops and kitchens, microcement for bathrooms and feature walls. Send us a photo and a few lines about the floor and we will tell you which finish suits it.
Polished concrete is a mechanical process that hardens and polishes the slab itself and lasts the life of the building. Grind and seal applies a sealer on top after a lighter diamond grind and gets re-coated every three to seven years. Polished costs more up front and wins on lifecycle. Grind and seal is faster and cheaper to install.
Yes. Driveways, garages, patios, living areas and benchtops sit alongside warehouses, workshops and shop fit-outs in our work. The same crew and the same machines do both; what changes is the finish we recommend.
Yes. Manufacturer data sheets for each system, SWMS, insurance certificates and slip ratings are available on request. Ask for them on the quote form or by email and we will send them through with your quote.
Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Tweed Heads, Byron Shire and Northern NSW as standard. Larger projects we mobilise across all of South-East Queensland.
Send the floor size, location, timeframe and photos. We will use them to assess the job before arranging a site visit.
